There are a lot of tools out there, some with general purposes and others with very specific uses. Here we list some of the essentials you need for quick and easy repairs or emergency situations while you’re out and about on your motorcycle. If you’re missing any of the items on our list, feel free to visit the parts department at our location in Salt Lake City, Utah!

Replacement Parts

There are a number of parts on your motorcycle that are fairly easy to replace but fall into disrepair often. Having replacement light bulbs for your rear and headlights, spark plugs, and a spare tire can guarantee a quick solution in a messy situation. If you have the storage space we suggest keeping these items with your motorcycle (although you won’t be able to do this with a spare tire) for a quick repair.

Tool Kit

We also advise having a tool kit stored on your motorcycle at all times. You can even keep your replacement bulbs and spark plugs in your toolbox to keep them from getting damaged. While you have the final say over what’s placed into your toolbox we do advise having a few different types of pliers, screwdrivers, and wrenches. It’s also wise to have a tire patch kit and pressure gauge in case you have a flat.

Portable Jump Start

A portable jump start is one of the easiest and most reliable ways to jump-start or even recharge your engine. These jump starts come in impressively small sizes and even include jumper cables. While you may not need this when riding around town if you’ve planned a day trip or vacation it might be a wise idea to bring this handy tool along.

If you find that you have a repair you can’t complete we encourage you to visit us here at Addictive Behavior Motor Works! We have a helpful on-site service department as well as towing services for our clientele who have broken down on the road.
